Our villas face northwest, out toward Haro Straits, the Canadian Gulf Islands and the most outstanding sunsets in the Pacific Northwest. Quaint Eastsound Village, just a mile away, has restaurants, theaters, grocery and supply stores, medical facilities, churches and a variety of shops and boutiques. Orcas Island golf course is only minutes away. Moran State Park is about a 15-minute drive. The Park’s miles of woodland trails skirt mountain lakes, meander through fern filled hollows and past mossy knolls, offering magnificent views of neighboring islands.
Orcas Island can be reached by plane, by car via the Washington State Ferry System or by boat. There are scheduled commuter flights that serve the Eastsound Airport from Boeing Field or Lake Union in Seattle, or from the Bellingham airport. Our proximity to the Eastsound Airport also makes Smuggler’s the ideal fly-in destination for private planes. Our sheltered moorage is within sight of Sucia Island, one of the most popular marine parks in the San Juans.
For those who wish to drive, the mainland ferry terminal is located just west of Anacortes. Anacortes is a 2 hour drive from Seattle. Take Interstate 5 northbound from Seattle, then travel west on Highway 20 and follow the signs to the San Juan Islands ferry terminal. You can call for a current ferry schedule and a recommendation on how early you should arrive to make the ferry you plan on taking. Ferry reservations are recommended. The Washington State Ferry number is 1-800-84-FERRY (or 206-464-6400 from the Seattle area).
The San Juan Island Visitor Bureau has great information on Getting Here.
